Advanced Switching of Your Projector

        Glenn Collinge / FSR

There are thousands of ways to design video systems, but how do you get the best out of your system? This class will give you a lot of new ideas on quality & clarity on your display system. We will discuss 2007 technology trends and you will also see the new video layering/ switching technology. This class will address; projecting H D and 16 X 9 displays in and outs, designs for combining production and presentation video with system drawings, reducing video delay with cameras, glitch free video transitions, maintaining video quality throughout your system and options with video over cat-5 systems. All these questions, demonstrations and more will be discussed in this fast paced class!  A class hand book will be given to each person attending the class and a questions and answers session will follow.

All About Wireless Microphones

Everything you ever wanted to know about wireless microphones.  A look at the current technology of RF wireless microphone and monitoring systems, and how they apply to contemporary worship services. We'll study what it takes to employ an excellent multichannel RF system, and discuss how to avoid many of the challenges that come with the use of wireless systems. Bring your wireless questions!

Amplifiers and How To Control Them

Mixing for Worship - The Team Approach

This session will cover the complete church mixing experience. We will cover not only the technical side of church sound, but also the ins and outs of making the technical team as a real part of the worship experience.  We will discuss simple things about building your sound team and basic console operation. We will then advance to some hands-on time, demonstrating proper gain structure, good mic selection and technique, and using dynamics and effects processors. Demonstrations will be given where we can try different microphones, microphone placements, and processing. We will discuss how these things make a difference to each situation.

This class is designed to help the existing video media ministry or new team members to learn; software options, getting the most system for your dollars, pointers for systems layout, media ministry team building, correct screen sizing, projector brightness and ambient light issues, maximizing computer image quality, and clean switching between different types of video. All these questions, demonstrations and more will be discussed in this fast paced class covering the needs of a projection system!  A questions and answers session will follow and a class hand book will be given to each person attending the class.
